Research interests in medieval English and European literature; scholastic literary theory; Latin writings of John Wyclif and his contemporaries; Wycliffite theology; the relationship between Latin and the European vernaculars in the later Middle Ages. I would be interested in supervising doctoral research relating to Chaucer and his contemporaries; John Wyclif and the Lollards; Late-medieval Latin and vernacular theological texts; medieval literary and linguistic theory (Latin and vernacular prologues, commentaries, educational and theological treatises, etc.) |
