University art - text reads - did you know The Department is situated in the award-winning Pathfoot building, which doubles as an art gallery and registered museum.

Teaching provision in the Department of English Studies has most recently been assessed as 'excellent’, the highest possible SHEFC rating. The Department scored 5 in the last Research Assessment Exercise in 2001, when it also placed within the UK top-twenty in surveys in The Guardian and The Times.Graduates

 

In 2004 Stirling was ranked first in Scotland for English Studies by The Guardian. In the 2008 Guardian University Guide, no English Studies department in Scotland is rated higher for job prospects than Stirling.
